Creating confident spaces through shop cleaning and shop organization services.
Many industries are facing a labour shortage and are committing to streamlining processes to overcome the challenge of finding competent and qualified people.
Coalstone was created to assist commercial and industrial companies by investing in their shops, tool cribs, and other workspaces. This is where companies can provide their frontline workers and tradespeople with efficient and safe workspaces.
Improving organization in work areas helps streamline the work and removes unnecessary movement and other wasteful activities. This promotes safe work, saves time, and increases productivity, contributing to increased profits.
With the right resources and environment, tradespeople can focus more on completing their tasks safely, which boosts team morale, contributing to a stronger and more positive company culture.
Natasha Hanna, of Jamaican and Cree descent, has nearly 20 years of experience as a millwright and has combined the lessons she has learned from her life experiences and education to create Coalstone.
Coalstone was founded to provide individuals from diverse backgrounds and anyone interested in entering the trades with the opportunity to acquire the skills necessary to work efficiently and safely in the field.
Through her leadership and dedication to diversity, inclusivity, and equity efforts, Coalstone is helping to create a more diverse and empowered workforce in the trades industry.
Natasha has worked primarily in western Canada. In mining, oil and gas, petrochemicals, manufacturing, hydro, and forestry. She began the trade as a pre-apprentice in 2004, and with strong support, Natasha was able to break into the millwright trade almost two decades ago.
Her mentors advised her to prioritize organization, cleanliness, and safety during her apprenticeship and to ensure she gained experience across various industries, ultimately leading her to become a skilled and proficient millwright.
Natasha has also obtained her Blue Seal and Maintenance Management Professional designation, along with her Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma.
With this valuable knowledge and experience, Natasha founded Coalstone to help other companies and apprentices understand the significance of creating an efficient and safe workspace.
